Managerial Leadership™

Course Objectives:

This course is designed to help mid- and senior-level managers increase their leadership effectiveness, both within their own areas of responsibility, and as a member of the company's management team. It also deals with the manager's role as a leader of leaders, and as a coach and mentor to the leaders who report to him or her.

Who Should Attend:

Mid- and senior-level managers and those who have the potential for those positions.

Course Summary:

The course presents practical leadership strategies and skills in a discussion/exercise based learning environment. Conducted from the perspective of a manager with several years of management and leadership experience, it is designed not only to help middle and senior level managers increase their leadership effectiveness within their own groups, but also to promote cooperation and teamwork among other leaders in the organization. Upon completion of the course, the participants will be prepared to:

  • Apply the skills and competencies of successful middle and senior managers.

  • Apply the Situational Leadership® Model to deal with tough leadership challenges.

  • Identify their own leadership styles and employ that knowledge to lead others.

  • Identify "up and comer" leadership talent and learn how to coach them to develop that talent.

  • Employ the principles of ethical decision making to make ethical business decisions.

  • Apply the principles of power and influence strategies to achieve organizational goals.

  • Apply the Team Excellence Model™ to lead his or her groups to excellent performance.

  • Perform as an effective member of the company's management team.

The course is taught by successful business leaders who also possess excellent training skills. They have taught more than 200 leadership courses throughout the U.S. and internationally. This two-day course can be taught at BENATECH's headquarters or our client's selected site.
