Training Course:
People Management Advanced Leadership
Course Objectives:
This course will help the leader/manager successfully navigate the day-to-day challenges
of management responsibilities. It prepares the leader/manager for managing the life-cycle
relationship of the employee and the company. In addition, it provides guidance that will
help inoculate the company and its managers from lawsuits by disgruntled employees. Myers-Briggs
Type Indicator® (MBTI®) and communication skills training are an integral part of
this course.
Who Should Attend:
Leaders, managers, supervisors — any person who does one or more of the following:
conducts employment interviews, hires, leads, supervises, coaches, disciplines, rewards employees.
Course Summary:
The course teaches critical people management skills that will help leaders and managers
hire the right people and coach them to success once they have been hired. It will also help
the company and the leader/manager avoid being sued by a disgruntled employee, or be successful
if you are sued. Upon completion of the course, the participants will be prepared to:

Conduct effective employment interviews that lead to the most qualified
person being hired. Learn to avoid interview questions that could lead to a lawsuit.

Manage an ever increasing diverse workforce to benefit the company,
the customer, the employee and themselves.

Manage change for themselves and the people who report to them.

Increase their communication effectiveness within the organization
and with its partners.

Coach their employees to success under different work scenarios. If
necessary, discipline or fire a non-performing employee in a manner that is fair to
the employee and the company.

Perform employee appraisals that are fair and benefit the company and
the employee. Set objectives that are Specific, Measurable, Agreed upon, Realistic and
Trackable (SMART).

Recognize and reward employees who meet or exceed expectations.
